There was an 88 percent spike in fines for people failing to curb their dogs in 2008, and the Post reports that blocks of Morningside Drive, Amsterdam Avenue, West End Avenue, Riverside Drive and Central Park West led the way in complaints. Does this mean the Upper West Side is the crappiest neighborhood, or just that cops in the area give a, um, well, you know. Said one UWS dog walker, "It's their self-absorbed, all-about-me attitude. They're like, 'I'm too busy going to my Pilates class. I don't have the time to keep the neighborhood clean.'" [NYPost]
