Curbed Roundtable: February State O' The (Rental) Market

New, 81 comments

As is tradition at the start of a new month here at Curbed, we invite readers to discuss the state of the market. This month, let's put the focus on rentals.

It's not much of a secret that residential rents have been falling since the fall, and likely before that, but the news finally got its front-page NYT real estate section moment this past weekend. With scary words colored red, no less! Now, with all the talk of free months or comped brokers fees, here's our question: if you've been out in the rental market in the past month, what exactly are you seeing out there? Details on neighborhoods, prices, and deals is encouraged. As is use of the color red.
