Williamsburg's Factory Lofts Takes Ball, Goes Home

New, 60 comments

Williamsburg, sweet Williamsburg, your winter of discontent continues. We're getting word from several very informed sources that Factory Lofts—a warehouse-y conversion at 66 N. 1 Street gloriously topped with a bizarro structure designed by architect Robert Scarano that we looked in on last spring—is doneski, with developer GLI Property Group defaulting on its loan. We've got word out to the developer, but with the development's website also in default and StreetEasy showing zero of 21 units sold, we're gently inserting a fork in this one. More rentals for the northside? Coming right up! UPDATE: An inside source whispers that five units have sold to date.
