Eater Tastings: Minetta Making News, Standard Going Italian?

New, 1 comment

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) Greenwich Village: The Keith McNallyfied Minetta Tavern has been open for less than a week, but already there is good news, less than good news, bad news and kind of bad news regarding this reborn neighborhood fixture.

2) Central Village: Central Villagers mourning the passing of the off-brand BBQ on University Place can now relax. The mainstay is set to re-open in its new location, and soon there will be gigantic frozen drinks and onion loaf for all.

3) MePa: Is chef Iacopo Falai looking to bring one of his precious and overpriced Falai outlets to, brace, André Balazs's Standard Hotel? All signs point to maybe. By the way, have mentioned the Standard's hot tub? We have? Oh, OK.
