This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
1) East Village: Is the most geniusly themed restaurant of our lifetime—Permanent Brunch—getting ready to open? Well, there's a new awning up, at least. Also in the works: something at the old Zip's Deli space on East 5th and Avenue B.
2) The Bowery: Also moving along at a fine clip: Daniel Boulud's forthcoming outpost in the Avalon Chrystie Bowery complex.
3) Chelsea: And with birth, death: the retro Comfort Diner on 23rd between Fifth and Sixth Avenues has closed, and left non-teary signage behind.
