Ikea's free shuttle service from the furniture superstore to the subway has received more than 50 safety violations since November, the Daily News reports, for infractions such as broken headlights, missing safety inspections and unlicensed drivers. The service has been cut back since September due to declining ridership. Also, a local Red Hook coach company is pissed it didn't get the Ikea shuttle contract, because the store had said it would hire locally. The contract went to a company in Gravesend. [NYDN]
