Lowdown: One thing we're seeing less of in 2009: developers (and the press releases that love them) trumpeting the color green. Comes 100 Gold Street, a small new development rising in Vinegar Hill to bring environmentalism back to the forefront of the new development pitch. Move-in date is forecast for September (Brownstoner took a look at construction progress last month; more here), but they're holding an "opening day" on April 22, which is—OMG!—Earth Day! Enviro-hype aside, we're talking ten condos with an airy design aesthetic and rooftop gardens with roof pavers made from recycled tires. Dammit, there we go again.
