CurbedWire: Rem's Rubble, 20 Pine Reloads

New, 17 comments

FLATIRON?We were shocked?shocked!?when a Curbed commenter suggested that Rem Koolhaas's 23 East 22nd Street be included on the Missing Skyline list. Anything with a sales office that crazyawesome had better get built! Here's what the narrow lot looked like a couple weeks back, having just been prepped for the start of serious work. (We peeked inside the plywood after our One Madison Park tour). As seen from across the street after the jump. [CurbedWire Staff]

FIDI?The 20 Pine image rehabilitation effort begins. When last we left the troubled Financial District condo conversion, one developer had muscled out the other and pledged to re-start the halted construction on the building's amenities. Now, the press release from new boss Lev Leviev's Africal-Israel has hit. It says SHVO will still market the units (70%, or 272, of which have closed), working with Africa-Israel's new managing director or sales and leasing, who is also overseeing the compnay's condo conversions of the Apthorp on the UWS and District, also in FiDi. The estimate on the completion of amenities remains June 1. [CurbedWire Inbox]
