OLX.com is some sort of free listings website not unlike Craigslist. It's also, why hello there, the first place we've seen any sort of marketing materials for the new tower at 808 Columbus Avenue, the centerpiece of the epically huge Columbus Village housing/retail/Whole Foods megadevelopment rising on the northern fringes of the Upper West Side. We're talking quite the reveal here, folks.
The four rental listings came to our attention via a tipster who writes, "I randomly found this website on 808 Columbus. Do you have any idea about this website or if the prices are true?" We're not sure, because like our tipster, we couldn't reach a human being on the other end of the printed phone number. But even if the listings aren't official and the prices unconfirmed ($1,857, studio; $2,919, 1BR; $4,227, 2BR), there's no faking those renderings, including apartment interiors and a more fleshed-out version of the mini-forests. Columbus Village?the Manhattan megaproject that is actually getting built?has been flying somewhat under the radar, but that's all about to change. Coming up: a Construction Watch update.
