Orient-Express Hotels' aborted deal to purchase West 53rd Street's Donnell Library and construct an 11-story luxury hotel in its place could have far-reaching consequences, the Times reports. The $59 million taken in by the New York Public Library was meant to help jump start the $250 million Lord Norman Foster-designed renovation of the main Fifth Avenue branch.
