"I think this article demonstrates how grossly unfair rent regulation currently stands in NYC. The O'Neils have lovely restaurants that I enjoy frequenting. Undoubtedly, they are experts in dodging the $175,000 income cap to protect this beautiful apartment. Perhaps there should also be an asset test. They join countless others who flaunt their houses while many young families struggle to pay their mortgages and/or rent. I hope the NYS legistrators note this abuse and think twice about raising this limits beyond $175,000." [As the Apthorp Turns]
