Construction Watch: More Luxury Rentals Flood Far West Side

New, 38 comments

Coming hot on the heels of the update on the luxury rental building springing up on Eleventh Avenue near the Hudson Yards, a tipster sends us the above shot revealing that the pair of 43-story rental buildings at 505 West 37th Street (at Tenth Avenue in the midst of Lincoln Tunnel madness) are already getting some glass. These twin towers from developer Rockrose, with 835 apartments between them and a look not unlike Rockrose's waterfront buildings in Long Island City, aren't even the developer's only project on the block. Across the street, the 24-story 455 West 37th Street is already leasing. Earlier we mentioned that studios in that building would start at $2,000/month, but Rockrose's website has availabilities at $1,836, so there's a free month of rent being offered. In a bit of fortunate timing, a Wired New York user posted updated photos of both projects today. Check 'em in the gallery above.
