Eater Tastings: Soho Wants Grand Street Hotel to Shut Up, Shake Shack Welcomes Spring, More!

New, 4 comments

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) Soho: Locals are not pleased with the Grand Street Hotel and its various planned party spaces. Next Tuesday the hotel goes before the local community board, and you'd better believe neighbors will be fighting for their beauty sleep.

2) Madison Square Park: Starting today, the Shake Shack has shed its winter hours and will now be open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Getting Shackburgers from the actual Shake Shack? So 2008. It's Citi Field for us from here on out.

3) Chelsea: After nabbing but one Bruni star for his ultra-hyped new pizza joint Co., chef/restaurateur/madman Jim Lahey had a total meltdown, even referring to another restaurant's offerings as "dogshit." Read the hijinx right here.

4) Upper East Side: Who goes to 72-year-old Yorkville relic Heidelberg? People who like drinking beer out of boots, and getting bossed around by stern-looking Germans. In other words: everybody!
