Something is Selling in Williamsburg!

New, 37 comments

There's been a lot of doom-and-gloom printed about the Williamsburg real estate market lately, so for a bit of good news, we turn to The Real Deal and its story on former Development Du Jour Mason Fisk. Seventeen of the 26 units in the converted loft building at 72 Berry Street (between North 9th and 10th Streets) have gone to contract in six weeks, putting it over the 50 percent threshold now required by most mortgage lenders. What's the secret to its success? Perhaps the fairly low $650-per-square-foot average, but we welcome all theories. [Real Deal; Mason Fisk]
