Curbed International: Our Angled Glass is So London 2008

New, 5 comments

For those fans of Asymptote's rising 166 Perry Street, the bit of angled West Village glass that looks like a mini-Meier, we bring you the trippy 367 Oxford Street in merry London. The completed project, by Future Systems, is an addition to a commercial building construction in the '60s. Check out the gallery for one scary kaleidoscope. Too bad the boom in NYC's starchitect-designed glass houses is over; after 166 Perry and Jean Nouvel's 100 Eleventh Avenue are complete, there probably won't be any crazy fractured reflections coming at us for a while.
