One month after the glitzy Vegas-like makeover of Queens' Aqueduct Racetrack fell apart because of the crap economy, the state is ready to seek new proposals for the 328,000-square-foot facility. The state's new plan (developers' applications are due May 8) calls for a 30-year agreement with the winning bidder, who would pay the full amount of its upfront franchise fee to the state within 10 business days. The state would issue $250 million worth of bonds to help finance the project costs. [Globe St; previously]
