It's Controversy Week at the City Planning Commission, where in addition to approving Fordham University's Lincoln Center expansion, the commission also approved Dumbo developer Two Trees' 325-unit, Brooklyn Bridge-obscuring (say its opponents) Dock Street building. The revised plans call for the 18-story wing to lose one floor, and the 10-story portion closest to the bridge to drop two or three floors. The ordeal was an emotional one, the Brooklyn Paper reports: "Planning Commission Chairwoman Amanda Burden described the proposal as 'the most difficult to come before the commission in many years.' She and her commissioners took many 'mandatory field trips' to the site." [BK Paper; previously]
