Page Six follows up on our report of the Apthorp's?gasp!?fake hydrangeas now hovering over the building's four interior entrances, and gets a comment from an Apthorp spokesperson: "This was not a cost-cutting move. Real flowers were initially used on the second floor, but they were drying up and dying. Our florist recommended using high-quality silk flowers instead. The fake flowers are just a small part of the landscape." At least the courtyard garden is still real right. Right?! [Page Six; previously]
