His time with the Yankees having mercifully come to an end?he was paid nearly $90,000 per hit last season!?new Angels outfielder Bobby Abreu no longer needs to hang on to that 1,760-square-foot condo at One Beacon Court. In fact, Abreu tried to rid himself of the 2BR, 2BA apartment, on the 37th floor of the celeb-friendly Midtown East tower, for much of 2008, before the $7.9 million listing was benched in December. This week Abreu's pad hit the market once again, and one would think?given these post-Lehman times?he might lower that $4,500/sf asking price, especially since he bought the place for just $3.8 million in 2005.
Well, Abreu is showing the same great judgment at the plate that won him the hearts of so many Yankees fans, and is sticking with the $7.9 million price tag. Bobby, baby, can we at least get some fresh photos of the place? For those who think this is aggressive behavior, please note that Italian playboy and Heidi Klum babydaddy Flavio Briatore is listing his One Beacon Court penthouse, purchased for just over $10M, for a cool $25 million. Mama mia!
