Might there be peace on Williamsburg's Kent Avenue, where the fallout from the addition of a pair of bike lanes has led to fake detour signs, parades of bicyclists in clown makeup and near holy war? The Brooklyn Paper reports that a deal is in the works that could turn Kent Avenue into a one-way street between Clymer and North 14th Streets, which would make the no-parking and no-standing zones on both sides of the street legal parking lanes, one of which would be used as a buffer for a two-directional bike lane on the waterfront side of the street. Room for everyone! Hooray! [Brooklyn Paper; previously]
