Here's the latest on the foreclosure scene in the five boroughs, courtesy of those crazy cats at PropertyShark. The insta-takeaway: compared to one year ago, fewer foreclosures are happening in each borough than was the case at this time last year, down 20% year-over-year. Plus, this good-news bonus: foreclosures have fallen 18% just since March. Queens continues to lead the pack of pain, with 172 new foreclosures slated in April, but even that's down 23% from last month. Meantime, in Manhattan: a mere eight foreclosure auctions were scheduled in April. Name all eight for extra credit on the Curbed end-of-semester exam!
