As if starchitects didn't have enough to worry about nowadays with rising construction costs and fewer commissions, now their big projects in China keep catching fire. The latest is Zaha Hadid's Guangzhou Opera House, currently under construction, where flames over the weekend caused an undetermined-as-yet amount of damage. Of course, the blaze has nothing on Rem Koolhaas's epic Mandarin Oriental fire in Beijing. Add another one to the list! [ArchPaper]
