Yesterday we noted the reactivated construction going on at the top of Frank Gehry's Beekman Tower in the Financial District, where developer Forest City Ratner has threatened to cap the 76-story rental tower at 40 stories. We've received a response from a building rep on the plans: "The decision on Beekman will be made shortly but in the meantime there is work that has to be done at what is now the highest point of the building regardless what the final decision is on the height."
