Though the plan for a new St. Vincent's hospital tower on the site of the current O'Toole Building in Greenwich Village has already been approved, the residential component of the hospital's redevelopment plan still needs Landmarks Preservation Commission approval, and yesterday the LPC told developer Rudin Management to lower the height of the tallest tower. The commissioners didn't specify how much smaller the building, which was already sizechopped once, should be. Meanwhile, Jets fans have another reason to hate the St. Vincent's plan: Eli Manning will fund a birthing ward in the new hospital. [NYPost; NYDN]
