The latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.
1) Midtown East: New York magazine's logo was replaced with the Burberry moniker atop 444 Madison Avenue a while back, but reports indicate that next Thursday the sign will actually be lit. We haven't been this excited about a British invasion since the Spice Girls.
2) Upper West Side: We learned on HGTV's The Stagers (any other Matthew fans in the house?) that circles are a very feminine design touch, meaning we should probably just put on a skirt today and call it quits. First we had MePa's Dream Downtown Hotel, and now Chelsea-based apothecary Martin + Goetz has unveiled a very round outpost on Amsterdam Avenue and 82nd Street.
3) Soho: Hi, Scoop? Hey, Dow 14,000 here. Just wondering, do you still have my gold-dipped Nike Dunks in stock? Great, and they're still $4,500? Thanks, just wanted to make sure.
