Rentals at Harlem's Fifth on the Park Don Disguise

New, 8 comments

A Curbed tipster informs us that a new banner hanging near Harlem development Fifth on the Park advertises "an uptown rental with downtown elegance" at the address of 1481 Fifth Avenue. The picture on that banner? Fifth on the Park. "Has the building gone nondo under a different name?" our tipster wonders about the 28-story building said to be over 50% sold. Nay! We contacting the leasing office after checking out the 1481 Fifth Avenue website, and these units are the 47 rental apartments that were always part of the mixed-use building's plan (there's also a church in there somewhere). The one- to three-bedroom rentals hit the market about three weeks ago, and two have signed leases in place. Prices start at $2,150 per month for a 1BR, and the bigger three-bedroom units with views of Central Park to the south start at $3,850/month. What say you, Harlem rental market?
