Curbed PriceSpotter: Grown-Up Crib in the East Village

New, 20 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Tomorrow we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!

What/Where: 3BR, 2BA co-op on East 9th Street btwn Third/Fourth Avenues
Square Feet: 1,550
Maintenance/CC: $1,943
The Skinny: It's been ages since the PriceSpotter dropped in on the East Village for a check of what sellers are thinking, so we decided to look for something with a little age in mind. Why do we say grown-up? Because this co-op in youngsterville has three bedrooms to grow into, and the current owner has a piano. What says maturity more than a piano? Other sophisticated toys include a newly renovated kitchen with all the necessary Viking, Miele and Subzero touches, and building features such as a full-time doorman, garage, communal lounge/meeting room and laundry facilities. The neighborhood has a rep for remaining sturdy and level-headed in pricing during both boom and bust, so where do you think we stand here?
