GARMENT DISTRICT?We're not sure if Lalezarian Developers is using double the non-union labor on their 27-story Tower 37 rental building under construction at 346 West 37th Street, but they sure as heck got hit with double the inflatable rats at a massive rally today. Writes a tipster, "Takes up the whole closed off block. Not one but TWO rats on site! I thought the construction was loud but this rally is deafening!!" Building progress shot after the jump. NYC?We didn't need any more proof that the commercial/invstment real estate market is in shambles, but from high above the skies of Williamsburg, Massey Knakal Chairman Robert "Big Knak Attack" Knakal pens his Q1 commentary. It begins: "I've been selling investment properties in New York City for 25 years and have never seen anything like the low level of sales that the market experienced in the first quarter of 2009." Yowza. [Massey Knakal Reel]
