Hoteliers Ian Schrager and Peter Moore have "expressed interest" in the Far West Village warehouse of beloved butcher Pat La Frieda, which is on the market for $31 million. According to the La Friedas, who are moving their operation to Jersey, glitzy new neighbors like Eva Mendes and the Olsen twins are some of those who have made noise and other complaints about the meatpacking operation. The Post adds that M&W Meatpacking, the last freestanding wholesale butcher in the area, is closing this week to make way for a Dean & DeLuca. [NYPost]
