Brownstoner reports that the Brooklyn co-housing group whose plan to turn a Fort Greene church into a communal living development called Carlton Mews fell apart in December has gone to contract on a new site, a 40,000-square-foot former mattress factory on 19th Street and Eighth Avenue in Greenwood Heights. The factory will be converted into 29 co-op apartments that will share common dining, guest and recreation areas. Interested? Others certainly are. In fact, 15 households are already claimed.
