On the Market: High-Five at Tribeca's Fairchild

New, 10 comments

The Fairchild, one of those new North Tribeca buildings designed to look old, is the Karl Fischer-designed sister building to the Pearline Soap Factory across the street. And while both buildings traffic in celebrity buyers?Pearline with Justin Timberlake, Fairchild with James Gandolfini (who may actually be involved with the developers)?the Fairchild has ventured on a different path. The former Development Du Jour had the unfortunate luck of hitting the market much later than its smaller sibling, and is now looking for a way to offload units in one swoop. New to market: a five-unit combination priced at $23 million, which would create a 10,000-square-foot triplex with over 4,000sf of outdoor space. But owning what would be one of the biggest homes in Tribeca isn't the only bragging right included in the deal.

According to the listing, "Residents at The Fairchild can now enjoy the exclusive amenities of New York's most prestigious private club - The Greenwich Hotel. Access to the club offers a true haven for relaxation & rejuvenation, and features a lantern-lit indoor pool, a fitness center, and admission to the renowned Shibui Spa." Wondering why Robert De Niro's posh Greenwich Hotel would pimp its prized spa and indoor pool out as a condo amenity? Take a look at the Fairchild's brokers. Let's just say they have connections.
