The Brooklyn Paper reports today that budget cutbacks will eliminate a planned footbridge from Brooklyn Bridge Park to long-closed Squibb Park in Columbia Heights. That's not the only hot topic at the under-construction waterfront paradise, however. The Real Deal reports that prices at One Brooklyn Bridge Park, the luxury condo conversion of a former Jehovah's Witness warehouse on the grounds, have been slashed again, with studios now starting at $545k. Oh, and, "The building is also releasing some residences as market-rate rentals, with studios starting at $1,875 and one-bedrooms at $2,800. Up to 25 percent of the building's units could become rentals." [BK Paper; Real Deal]
