WEST CHELSEA?We haven't had one of our weekly tributes to architect Jean Nouvel's fragmented 100 Eleventh Avenue lately, which has apparently upset a pair of readers. Says the photographer of the cool panoramic shot above (out of the way, Gehry!), "Here's one to get you back on track with the Friday tradition of posting a Nouvel pic. This was taken a couple of weeks ago. The top floor facade is now done I believe." And for something completely different, check after the jump for the other photo submitted this week showing the rarely-seen (on these pages, anyway) other side of the building. [CurbedWire Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG?In the Financial District, buildings looking to make a splash pull off stunts like popping up on coffee sleeves. In Williamsburg, they shoot for something a bit more attention-grabbing. A tipster writes, "Not sure if you've seen the tv commercials for the Edge condos, but the tagline is 'stimulate the economy...do it for you, the environment, and your country.' Saw it just now on tnt, and earlier this morning on ny1." [CurbedWire Inbox]
