A bill currently under consideration in the State Assembly would lengthen the amount of time renters evicted from foreclosed properties have to clear out of their homes. Currently, tenants are given three to 10 days to pack up, while the new law would increase the grace period to 90 days. According to a report, 2,907 eviction notices were served between December 2008 and April 2009 to tenants in properties where the landlord defaulted on the mortgage. Deutsche Bank is the No. 1 eviction server. [NYPost]
