Saturday marked the one-year anniversary of the crane collapse that killed two workers at the Azure tower on 91st Street and First Avenue, and the Daily News reported on the missed warnings regarding the faulty weld job that doomed the equipment. The Chinese firm that did the weld even said they didn't have confidence in the job, but reversed course once owner New York Crane tossed some more money at them. Indictments against the crane company are "probable but not imminent." [NYDN]
