Rising in the no-man's-land of 42nd Street between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, former Development Du Jour The Deuce has had some trouble seeing any movement while seated on the real estate throne. According to StreetEasy none of the seven units in the "architectural concrete" condo building are in contract, and now the Chopper has come a-callin'. The six full-floor 1BR apartments, originally priced from $1.65 million to $2.1 million, have been cut 15% to 21% and now range from $1.335 million to $1.775 million. The duplex penthouse, formerly $4.5 million, took a 14% tumble to $3.85 million. The units are still commanding $1,175 per square foot and up, but let's put the bits and pieces aside for a moment and concentrate on another buying opportunity at The Deuce. A listing has popped up for the entire building, 23 rooms in all that run a cool $13 million. Curiously, that price tag is slightly more than the combined price of the individual units, but maybe that's the premium put on handling such a heavy load at once.
