The Brooklyn Paper uses the excuse of a book shop's move across Flatbush Avenue to stir up a feud: Has Prospect Heights surpassed Park Slope in terms of literary prowess? Yes, says Unnameable Books owner Adam Tobin, who kinda-sorta unintentionally cedes the war to the Slope by way of his explanation: "As rents have continued to go up in Park Slope, a lot more writers are moving to Prospect Heights. Writers can't afford Park Slope rents unless they are very successful — and neither can bookstores." So...PHeights only gets the crappy writers? Contractually obligated Jonathan-Safran-Foer-in-a-scarf photo at right. [BK Paper]
