Chelsea's Antiques Garage Going Hotel

New, 4 comments

Extell has filed plans for a 29-story hotel at 112 West 25th Street, the parking garage that doubles as the Antiques Garage flea market on weekends, the Observer reports. The market's owner says he hasn't been told of any imminent building plans, and his lease calls for a three-month warning. One theory for Extell's recent flurry of filings: getting plans approved before the new building code goes into effect on July 1. The architect listed on the 112 West 25th Street application is Keith Goich, formerly of Extell fav Cetra/Ruddy and now apparently doing his own thing. [NYO]
