Casino magnate Steve Wynn's apartment at 817 Fifth Avenue has yet to hit the market, but the preview given to the Observer's Max Abelson by Sotheby's broker Roger Erickson makes us giddy to see it. Once asking $15 million, the condo was rebuilt after a burst ceiling pipe flooded the place and will be priced at $25 million. Highlights: onyx floors, a private elevator vestibule lined in "very discreet leather," and $4 million in furniture. Erickson on why a Russian buyer might like the seventh-floor spread: "They don’t want high floors; they’re not into Time Warner or the towers; lower floors connected to the earth, like fifth through 12th floors."
