Curbed PriceSpotter: Simple But Sold in Greenwich Village

New, 12 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Tomorrow we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!

What/Where: 1BR, 1BA co-op on West 12th Street btwn Sixth/Seventh Aves.
Square Feet: 800
Maintenance/CC: $1,009
The Skinny: Ready to have your little price-guessing minds blown? In a first that may signal things to come (or possibly another Curbed feature), we're not quizzing you on the asking price of this week's PriceSpotter, but rather, we're asking about the sale price. That's right, this mofo has recently traded hands. Contract signed. Deal done. Boom. To keep this little experiment simple, the specimen is a straightforward co-op unit in a doorman building (w/ elevator) in what some would even dare call the Central Village. Wildcards: Central air conditioning and the building's landscaped roof deck. The recorded sale means cheating becomes a bit easier, so play nice. What did the market say about this little Village guy?
