Those hoping for a residential conversion of AIG's 70 Pine Street building in the Financial District might be in luck: Crain's reports that developer Youngwoo & Associates, which has done the apartment thing and has sometimes partnered up with designer Philippe Starck (on projects like Gramercy Starck on East 23rd Street), is the party in contract to buy the Art Deco tower for the paltry sum of $140 million.
