FIDI, UWS?The Landmarks Preservation Commission wielded its magic wand today, bestowing protective status on a pair of buildings: the former St. George's Syrian Catholic Church (and now Moran's restaurant) at 103 Washington Street in the Financial District, and Public School 811M/Mickey Mantle School on West End Avenue and 82nd Street on the Upper West Side. Spoiler alert: ANIMAL has pics of the mural, and it's awesome. [CurbedWire Inbox/ANIMAL]
