FIDI, UWS?The Landmarks Preservation Commission wielded its magic wand today, bestowing protective status on a pair of buildings: the former St. George's Syrian Catholic Church (and now Moran's restaurant) at 103 Washington Street in the Financial District, and Public School 811M/Mickey Mantle School on West End Avenue and 82nd Street on the Upper West Side. The LPC also decided to schedule a public hearing on the proposed landmark status for 488 Madison Avenue, meaning it's lookin' good for the Look Building. [CurbedWire Inbox]
