LIC?Now that the war against Long Island City gentrification is out in the open, new battlefronts are popping up all around. The latest: Gantry Park, recently expanded, is hitting neighborhood invaders where it hurts?their adorable four-legged companions. Behold: "I just got a ticket for bringing my dog out on the pier. The officer said they have a two month old ZERO tolerance law forbidding dogs. I have no problem with that but now I have to waste my time to go to court because I didn't see their dinky little sign. How many tickets have they given out? I am the first. This law has been in effect for only two months and yet it has almost the same intensity as DUIs. ZERO TOLERANCE...Absurd." [CurbedWire Inbox]
WEST VILLAGE?Times are still high for a lucky few, most of whom live in 15 Central Park West. A tipster writes: "Ha! Who ever owns 3D at 15 CPW just bought a downtown crash pad at 99 Jane Street...im too lazy to look up who 3D is, but, really, if its the 3rd floor, it cannot be anyone too interesting." Perhaps, but 3D at 15 CPW was purchased for a hefty $9.4 million, so it's not your typical third-floor throwaway. Meanwhile, the 99 Jane unit (the address of the purchasing LLC is 15 Central Park West Apt. 3D), a 1,200-square-foot 2BR, was listed at $1.795 million and bought for $1.5 million. Something for the kiddies? [CurbedWire Inbox]
