Service Alert: Two-Year Train Delays on Second Avenue

Upper East Side merchants who just can't get enough of all that beautiful and business-improving Second Avenue Subway construction can now jump for joy: The MTA graveyards are probably sticking around for two extra years. Already rumored to have been bumped from a 2015 to a 2016 completion date, Phase 1 of the Great UES Property Value Speculation Machine will now likely not be done until summer 2017. So concludes the MTA's new analysis of the project, as reported by the Daily News. Also, the Long Island Rail Road extension to Grand Central Terminal is a year-and-a-half behind schedule. Well at least they didn't raise fares on us!
