Greenpoint Religion For Rent

Back when Greenpoint's landmark St. Elias Church popped up on the market with an eye on going residential, a Curbed reader opined: "Beautiful... but that is going to be a monster to convert." Apparently so, because New York Shitty now brings word that the Kent Street church is on the lease market, with an option remaining to carve the building up into something or other. Writes Miss Heather, "How will this bode for the numerous gents who like to hang out at said premises and use it as a pissoir?" [NYS]
