Nouvel Wins! (Maybe.)

New, 4 comments

Instead of focusing on the architect showdown at yesterday's City Planning Commission (like some real estate blogs out there), the ArchPaper Blog actually focused on what the CPC thinks of Jean Nouvel's 80+ story Tower Verre next to MoMA: "The chief concern was not so much how the tower might change to address community concerns as how it could stay the same, ensuring that Nouvel’s designs and none others, even variations by the architect, would be implemented." So Tower Verre is good to go as long as the developer doesn't pull an Atlantic Yards? The CPC has until September to decide, then it's on to the City Council. [ArchPaper; previously]
