All conceived in loftier times, the triplets of 12th Street are in the home stretch whether the Far West Village is ready or not. And given the recent happenings at architect/developer Cary Tamarkin's 397 West 12th Street, the signs point to not. Back in April prices on the five-unit building's four unclaimed "raw space residences" were slashed 15%, and as the building gets its finishing touches alongside equally new neighbors Superior Ink and 385 West 12th Street, the massive spreads have again suffered across-the-board drops?and this time the cuts are nearly 20%. Prices now range from $3.5 million to $9.8 million. The full second floor, at 3,613 square feet and once priced at $5.5 million, is now going for a stunningly low $1,051/sf and just may be the neighborhood's only new-construction bargain. Chupi, are you listening?
