Citypoint?or City Point, if you prefer?the mixed-use megaproject meant to take over the land once inhabited by the Albee Square Mall (R.I.P.) in Downtown Brooklyn, is going through a break-up. According to an Observer source, "Brooklyn’s own Time Warner Center" will be built in two phases. The first, at the east end, will include affordable housing and big-box retail. The second, to be built sometime in the future, will include the market-rate housing, office space and more retail. [NYO; previously]
