The wild success of the High Line means the park is burning through resources, and now the Post has more on the proposed High Line Business Improvement District?which would tax nearby property owners and help pay for the park's upkeep. The annual fee isn't huge?it's estimated at $30 to $90 per year for a 1,000-square-foot property?but some neighbors are opposed to the concept. High Line crowds have been 4x bigger than predicted, and the bummed-out economy may hurt Friends of the High Line's fundraising. [NYP]
