CurbedWire: 75 Wall Lobby Action, East River's Mutant Fish

New, 1 comment

FIDI?A Curbed correspondent sends a report on lobby progress at 75 Wall Street, which is part condo, part Hyatt hotel (under the new Andaz brand): "Here are three pictures of the Andaz/75 wall (all from last night). 1) The lobby of the hotel with the new paneling (still pretty messy). 2) The central staircase in the hotel lobby that will take people to the bar and restaurant (picture is not amazing but I can assure you it looks pretty amazing when you see it). 3) The lobby of the actual 75 Wall condo. You can't see it here but it is separated from the hotel by a full glass partition, since the paneling is the same all the way through, it really looks like the hotel and condo lobbies are just one. it's pretty cool." WILLIAMSBURG?Speaking of Northside Piers, its access to the Burg waterfront might be harmful to your health, but only if you're hungry. A tipster writes: "The Northside Piers pier has all sorts of signs warning pregnant women, women of childbearing age, and children against eating the eels in the East River. Which sort of implies that the Williamsburg waterfront is rife with mutant eels? Eels or no, the pier is actually a pretty great addition to the neighborhood." This is the type of story that needs visual accompaniment. Luckily, we've got it! [CurbedWire Inbox]
